For the second year running Kering, one of our leading companies, have topped The Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI) for the Textiles, Apparel and Luxury Goods industry.
DJSI track best-in-class sustainability performance from companies all around the world. Using industry-specific criteria to assess each company for social, environmental and economic performance the top ten percent make it into the Sustainability Yearbook. Industry Leaders and Industry Movers (companies with the most improved positions) are also singled out and Kering have maintained their position as Industry Leaders in the 2015 Indices.
Kering believe their group wide Environmental Profit and Loss (EP&L), the results of which were released earlier this year, played a significant role in this achievement. Reducing environmental impacts, innovating within processes and working closely with suppliers all helped Kering improve on their 2014 scores and achieve full marks in Product Stewardship, Codes of Conduct and Compliance, and Corporate Citizenship and Philanthropy categories.
