GMI: Add Sustainability Metrics to Executive Pay Structures
GMI Ratings is a leading provider of research, data and analytics on environmental, social and governance (ESG) accounting risks for public companies.
Their report on sustainability metrics in executive pay structures found that a slim majority of S&P 500 companies incorporate at least one sustainability metric into compensation structures, but only 16% identify the specific metrics used, and only 10% have disclosed specific sustainability targets in compensation plans.
