2015 is a critical year for the world’s response to the climate change challenge. As we plot the course to the COP21 UN Climate Change Conference in Paris, in December this year, this week is an important on—with a number of important events taking place in the same city.

In order to accelerate a just transition to a Net-Zero Greenhouse gas emissions economy by 2050, it’s critical for business to make its voice heard with regard to bold climate ambition, and it is equally critical business leads by example to demonstrate commitment to making the transition.

The Business & Climate Summit is a unique forum preceding COP21, bringing together over 1000 leading businesses, investors and policy-makers. The B Team are a proud supporting partner of the Summit—which will make the case that bold climate action is consistent with strong economic growth and limiting global temperature rise to less than 2 degrees.

At the Summit, business and investor communities will share solutions to climate change already being actioned, and explore how to mobilize capital, unleash innovation and accelerate the transition to a low carbon economy. At the end of the summit a set of policy recommendations which will help bring solutions to scale, galvanize action and catalyze ambition will be presented to policymakers.
