Ruth Jones is a communications and stakeholder relations professional with 12 years of agency and in-house experience gained in the UK, the US and internationally. With a strong focus on sustainable development, climate change and the low carbon economy, she has delivered top-tier international events working with global business, government and thought leaders such as David Cameron, John Kerry, Ban Ki-moon, François Hollande, Apple CEO Tim Cook, Tony Blair, Prince Albert II of Monaco, and members of the UAE royal family.
During her four years with international non-profit The Climate Group, Ruth was responsible for the development and implementation of Climate Week NYC, the 2012 Rio+20 Earth Summit in Brazil and The Climate Group’s presence at the World Economic Forum in Davos. She cultivated The Climate Group’s strategic partnerships with organisations such as the World Bank, UN agencies and implemented collaborations with corporates such as Swiss Re, IKEA, BMW and BT.
Ruth also managed The Climate Group’s International Leadership Council and led the recruitment and deployment of The Climate Group’s Clean Revolution Ambassadors.
Immediately prior to joining The Climate Group, Ruth was a co-founding director of a communications agency working with both private and public sector clients including the UK government and Lloyds TSB with campaigns in the UK, Middle East, China and the US.
